Like many women, I was suffering from symptoms of stress, anxiety, fear and depression. I had so many thoughts, I was unable to focus. I was having headaches, heart palpitations, skin rashes, as well as irritability, unable to fall sleep, dizziness and much more.
I saw so many doctors, but nobody could help me or even told me what I had. They just gave prescription drugs. Which, by the way, were making me even sicker due to their side effects.
I felt alone. I felt hopeless. Can you relate?
Somebody recommended seeing a holistic doctor. I had tried everything else so I thought, “why not?” So I did.
He led me in a different direction… to more conscious living.
This included eating healthier, taking some vitamins, eliminating toxic products from my home, and of course, to practicing yoga and meditation. I did all of them!
One day, after a yoga class I could take in my own home, I had an “awakening moment” where I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I knew right there that I was being healed. I knew then that I was in the right path. At that moment, I made a commitment to myself, I was going to practice “this yoga thing” for the rest of my life!
I traveled to California to learn from Dr. Deepak Chopra about the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success and how to apply these laws in my daily life. I also learned about the ancient healing science of Ayurveda. After these exciting and transformative experiences, I decided to go back to take my first Yoga Teaching Training in “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga”.
After teaching yoga for a year, and experiencing first-hand the healing properties of yoga, I wanted to go deeper into my practice and spiritual life. I traveled to India for a second Yoga Training.
This time I met my Master Anand Mehrotra, who taught me Sattva Yoga and Meditation, holistic, evolving practices from the Himalayas. Anand’s teachings integrate meditation, breath-work, techniques from the Kundalini and Kriya Yoga traditions, connection and devotion through Laya, Bhakti and Sufi practices, free movement, as well as asanas. Later, I continued my training in India and became a Yoga and Meditation Master Teacher.
My passion for learning about life itself, happiness, self-healing, evolution and transcendence took me to the path of dance.
Dancing as the expression of the Soul.
The Soul that is not limited to time or space.
The Soul that is free of judgement, which is pure joy and creativity.
That expression of the Soul led me to Spain, where I met my new teacher, Zelia Pye, who trained me on Shamanic Trance Dance to be a Guide and Guardian of this ancient, transformative and healing technique, practiced by thousands of years by Shamans and Indigenous from tribes around the world.
This training brought me back to my roots. I realized I was born around Shamans and Healers in my native country, Peru. I was always doing Cleansing and Flourishing bath rituals to myself when I was growing up, learned from these Healers.
So, what happened? I got disconnected! Disconnected from myself, from Mother Earth, and somehow disconnected from the Divine. I took the long way back to my true-self -- and I'm ready to guide you back to your true, authentic, wonderful self!
From this journey I became a Spiritual and Wellness Coach! Since day one I have been using different tools for healing. My purpose has always been to help other women to move from a place of stress, anxiety, fear and pain to a place of calm, peace, trust and joy; to feel connected and supported.
